As a Senior Security Engineer, you will be an individual contributor on the security engineering team, owning two critical domains: detection and response to security events, and identification, prioritization, and remediation of exposure across infrastructure, cloud, and endpoints. You will build these systems as version-controlled code within Infrastructure and DevOps workflows, setting technical standards and defining guardrails for LVT's internal AI ecosystem. This role reports to the Director of Security Engineering and participates in the security on-call rotation.
Key responsibilities include: leading technical security incident response from immediate containment through engineering-driven prevention; building and scaling detections as code aligned to documented threat models; owning logging and telemetry pipelines supporting detection and investigation; automating routine security operations workflows (triage, enrichment, containment, case management); expanding security capabilities across EDR, DLP, and AI-assisted SOC tooling through code integrations and policy automation; defining visibility and technical guardrails for internal AI usage; and owning end-to-end exposure management with unified coverage across infrastructure, cloud, and endpoints prioritized by exploitability and reachability.
You will correlate vulnerability, cloud posture, and data loss findings into a single prioritized backlog for partner engineering teams and deliver measurable outcomes within 12 months: threat-mapped detections as code, automated response workflows, reduced exposure baseline, and automated compliance evidence generation.
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years engineering detection, response, and exposure systems; hands-on incident response experience leading technical investigations; proven detection engineering and security data pipeline expertise; strong software engineering skills (Python, Go, or similar) with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD experience; ability to synthesize conflicting vulnerability findings into clear risk models; broad technical depth across cloud, host, and network security; high self-direction in ambiguous environments; and strong written communication skills.
