Wealthsimple is seeking a Senior Security Developer to build the next generation of its vulnerability management platform. The role focuses on designing automation, integrations, and workflows that transform vulnerability management from a manual, reactive process into a self-running system powered by AI-assisted tooling. You will own and evolve a custom VM platform, working on deployment, integrations, data models, and automation workflows. Key responsibilities include building automation across the full VM lifecycle (triage, ticket routing, SLA tracking, ownership resolution, follow-up), integrating scanner data into the VM pipeline, maintaining enrichment workflows, and building queries and dashboards for visibility into vulnerability posture. You'll use tools like Claude Code and Tracecat, and help build toward a future where validated findings are tested, patched, and closed via automated systems with minimal manual intervention. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of hands-on vulnerability management and/or security engineering experience, including scanner integration, triage workflows, and remediation tracking. You should have production AWS experience, deep familiarity with VM tooling (Tenable, Semgrep, Rapid7), and hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Kubernetes, and container technologies. You understand vulnerability classes across application and infrastructure layers, can translate business needs into solutions, and actively use AI-assisted development workflows. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, threat intelligence, bug bounty programs, compliance controls, and attack surface management is expected. You'll work closely with developers to resolve disagreements about findings and ensure the platform integrates seamlessly into existing engineering workflows.
