Showpad, a leader in AI-powered revenue enablement platforms (following the merger of Showpad and Bigtincan), is seeking a Senior SecOps Engineer to join its Security Operations team in Bucharest. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in identifying, managing, and mitigating cybersecurity risks across the organization while collaborating with Engineering, Product, and business units.
Key responsibilities include managing cybersecurity operations across application, hardware, and cloud infrastructure; serving as the primary security contact for internal teams on daily practices and company-wide initiatives; ensuring development teams adopt secure software development best practices; and enabling CI/CD processes that integrate security tooling. You will oversee cloud and application security posture management (CNAPP), manage vulnerability programs and endpoint protection, and develop security controls and automation strategies within CI/CD pipelines.
Required qualifications include proven experience in information security, security operations, or application security roles; expertise in modern web application security practices and the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC); hands-on experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and AWS cloud environments; proficiency in security automation using TypeScript or similar languages; and practical experience with SAST, DAST, and SCA tools. You should have strong knowledge of microservices security, vulnerability management through bug bounty and penetration testing, and familiarity with security frameworks (GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2). Excellent English communication skills are essential for explaining complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice-to-have qualifications include DevSecOps experience, incident response and forensics background, and relevant certifications (OSCP, CISSP, CEH, AWS Security Specialty).
