Perk (formerly TravelPerk) is an intelligent platform for travel and spend management, trusted by over 12,000 companies worldwide including Bolt, GoCardless, and Fabletics. The company automates travel bookings, expenses, invoice processing, and more to eliminate shadow work and boost productivity.
As Senior SDR - Events, you will be the dedicated growth engine for Perk's events and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions) proposition, focusing entirely on deepening relationships within the existing client base rather than pursuing new logos. Your mission is to uncover untapped event potential and convert existing Perk accounts into active, repeat-event buyers.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Development & Opportunity Identification: Conduct structured discovery conversations with existing Perk account contacts to uncover current events spend, upcoming programmes, and unmet needs. Map stakeholder landscapes within accounts to identify who owns MICE and events budgets, and determine where Perk Events currently has no footprint. Build and maintain an opportunity pipeline sourced from existing Perk accounts, tracked in Salesforce with accurate forecasting and data hygiene. Proactively identify seasonal triggers (team off-sites, sales kick-offs, client entertainment, awards, product launches) and engage accounts ahead of planning cycles.
Events Proposition Selling: Articulate Perk Events' value proposition and MICE capability—venue sourcing, event management, incentive travel, conferencing—clearly to account stakeholders at all levels. Qualify and brief events leads internally, ensuring smooth handover to the Perk Events conversion team with full context on client requirements. Position Perk Events as the natural home for an account's full events calendar. Build genuine, multi-threaded relationships within accounts, engaging senior decision-makers and budget holders. Act as the bridge between existing commercial account relationships and the events/MICE proposition, working closely with Account Managers.
Reporting & Commercial Contribution: Own and manage your pipeline in CRM, maintaining accurate stage progression, deal values, and qualification. Report weekly on activity metrics, pipeline health, and pipeline generation against target. Share market intelligence and client feedback with the wider Events and Commercial teams to inform product development and go-to-market strategy.
The role operates within a hybrid model requiring 3 days per week in-office at Perk's Barcelona hub. The company is global with 1,800+ employees across 12 offices, founded in 2015, with headquarters in London and Boston.
Requirements:
Essential: Demonstrable experience in business development, account growth, or sales roles within events SaaS, corporate travel management (TMC), events agencies, or hospitality groups. Proven track record of growing revenue within existing account bases through structured outbound prospecting, not inbound-dependent. Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with ability to build rapport, navigate complex organizations, and influence without authority. Fluent English (written and spoken) to professional business standard. Experience in European and/or North American markets. Commercially minded with ability to build and manage pipelines, forecast accurately, and work to revenue targets. Hungry, ambitious, ethical, and considered approach. Individual contributor capability while remaining collaborative and supportive. Customer-centric mindset focused on delivering value first. Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and comfortable with pipeline reporting. Legal right to work in applicable location.
Desirable: Spanish, German, or French language skills. Understanding of MICE landscape (incentive travel, corporate conferencing, venue sourcing, event logistics). Understanding of procurement cycles and how large organizations plan and budget for events.
