RevenueCat is the default monetization platform for mobile apps, processing $16B+ in annual purchase volume and embedded in 50%+ of newly shipped subscription apps. The company is a remote-first team of 150+ people across 25+ countries, backed by Y Combinator (S18 batch) and top-tier investors.
You will join as a Senior SDK Engineer to design, build, ship, and support end-to-end features and products that help developers monetize their apps. Your primary focus will be on either the iOS or Android SDK (depending on your core expertise), with contributions to other platform and hybrid SDKs as needed. The role emphasizes product thinking, customer empathy, and developer experience.
In your first month, you'll learn the customer base, SDK architecture, and in-app subscription ecosystem, open your first pull request affecting 32,000+ apps, and ship your initial project. Within three months, you'll scope and execute projects independently, participate in code reviews, and understand all products owned by your team. By six months, you'll be the most knowledgeable person on several key features, drive infrastructure improvements, and contribute to roadmap direction. Within a year, you'll be a primary expert/owner in at least one technical area, mentor new engineers, and help shape engineering culture as the team expands.
The systems you build manage billions of dollars and touch hundreds of millions of end users. RevenueCat values Customer Obsession, Always Be Shipping, Own It, and Balance. The company expects high performance and a high bar for code quality, alongside collaboration in a fully remote culture.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of software development experience
- Shipped mobile apps to Apple App Store or Google Play Store
- Deep expertise in Swift and SwiftUI (iOS) OR Java/Kotlin and Compose UI (Android)
- Comfort working across iOS, Android, cross-platform, and hybrid platforms
- Strong testing practices and ability to ship high-quality code iteratively
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills in remote environments
- Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to move fast and iterate
