Emburse is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join its engineering team as a quality champion within a product scrum team. You will design and implement robust automated testing frameworks that ensure reliability, performance, and scalability across large-scale, highly distributed enterprise software solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establish test plans and approaches for features and functionality, ensuring code changes are thoroughly tested and released efficiently with high quality
- Conduct system and end-to-end testing, coordinate and execute release and deployment activities for Emburse releases
- Design and implement automation for integration and workflow tests
- Assess load and performance testing requirements, creating tests to exercise and evaluate system performance under load
- Pair with developers to ensure applications and features are designed for testability
- Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to deliver products and services with high quality
- Participate in peer code reviews and identify opportunities to improve the reliability and maintainability of test automation architecture
- Drive and lead test automation projects, architecture improvements, and refactoring to enhance test reliability, maintainability, and performance
- Onboard and mentor new and junior team members
- Establish test and automation strategies at project or service level, influencing technical direction and decision-making
- Communicate and educate the team on QA and automation industry best practices
- Identify and evaluate new tools and approaches for testing, test automation, and release management
