GoldSim, a Datacor company, is a world leader in dynamic simulation software for water resources, environmental systems, and complex engineering problems. Customers use GoldSim to model critical challenges in engineering and science, from managing water supplies to assessing long-term safety of environmental systems.
We are seeking a creative problem-solver to join our development team as a Senior Scientific Programmer. You will have direct impact developing new modeling capabilities to enhance GoldSim, our state-of-the-art modeling and simulation framework.
Key responsibilities include:
Numerical & Algorithmic Ownership: Own the numerical solutions and mathematical/computer science algorithms underlying GoldSim's simulation engine—from theoretical foundation (equations, algorithm design) through implementation in our C++ codebase. Push practical, real-world improvements to GoldSim's numerical capabilities and propose new features driven by customer needs.
You will work on a mature, sophisticated product used by engineers and scientists globally. This role offers the opportunity to apply deep technical expertise in numerical methods, algorithm design, and scientific computing to solve real-world problems in water resources, environmental modeling, and complex engineering systems.
The ideal candidate has strong expertise in C++, numerical methods, and scientific computing, with the ability to translate mathematical concepts into robust, performant code. You should be comfortable working independently on complex technical problems while collaborating with a small, focused development team.
