VTS is seeking a Senior Salesforce & Integration Engineer to own the technical architecture and development of a complex revenue operations platform. The role sits at the intersection of Salesforce CPQ customization, ERP integration (NetSuite), and middleware design—requiring both deep Salesforce expertise and systems-thinking about data flow across enterprise platforms. You will own Salesforce technical customization including Apex development, Lightning Web Components, flows, and custom object scaling to support pre/post-sales workflows. You'll write production-grade Apex with test coverage as a discipline (90%+ as a floor), not an afterthought. Alongside the RevOps team and Salesforce Architect, you'll partner with Finance and Sales to evaluate technical proposals and push back when approaches are flawed. On the integration side, you'll architect and oversee the middleware layer connecting Salesforce CPQ to NetSuite, handling mid-contract amendments (upsells, cross-sells, downgrades, churn). You'll own field mappings, error handling, retry logic, and monitoring. You understand why business logic belongs in systems, not middleware, and you'll design data models that don't create technical debt. You'll work with third-party implementation firms as the internal technical reviewer, not an observer. Release management is a core responsibility: you'll establish Git-based version control (Gearset/Copado), eliminate ad-hoc change sets, enforce branching strategy across dev/QA/UAT/prod, and require the same discipline from external partners. Documentation is non-negotiable—architecture decisions, field mappings, integration flows, and edge cases must be recorded in plain language. You'll also evaluate where AI tooling (Claude Code, Agentforce, Einstein) adds value in the Salesforce ecosystem and leverage it to increase development velocity. The role requires 4 days/week in the New York office.
