Zscaler is seeking an experienced Senior Sales Engineer to join its Sales Engineering team focused on the Telco industry in Japan. This hybrid role reports to the Manager of Sales Engineering and is part of the Sales and Go-to-Market department.
You will provide technical expertise and strategic advice to major customers, taking total ownership of the technical sale and associated processes. You will independently deliver high-impact sales pitches, technical demonstrations, and whiteboard presentations to help cement Zscaler's position as the world leader in cloud security.
Zscaler's Zero Trust Exchange platform protects thousands of customers from cyberattacks and data loss by securely connecting users, devices, and applications in any location. The platform is distributed across 160+ public exchanges globally and thousands of private exchanges at the edge, making it the world's largest in-line cloud security platform.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with extensive experience as a Sales Engineer or systems integrator
- 7+ years of experience in Pre-Sales roles, with at least 3 years focused on selling security or networking solutions in direct or high-touch sales environments
- Technical proficiency in HTTP and web-related technologies
- High fluency in written and spoken Japanese
- Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with routing and switching products, including complex troubleshooting
- Solid understanding of SaaS-based technologies and network security frameworks
- Hands-on experience with systems installation, configuration, and administration of macOS, UNIX/Linux, and Windows-based systems
