Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to join the Maneuver Dominance team in Abu Dhabi. This role focuses on designing, developing, and integrating software that connects autonomous platforms with mission payloads, including stores management systems (SMS), networked devices, and hardware interfaces.
You will architect APIs and data transport layers that move information reliably between vehicles, payloads, and ground systems in demanding operational environments. Key responsibilities include developing networked software for routers and switches, designing payload and SMS integration systems, architecting APIs using HTTP, REST, and gRPC, building low-level data transport over UDP and TCP, writing hardware-interfacing code for embedded devices and sensors, and collaborating cross-functionally with hardware, systems, and vehicle teams.
The role involves real-world deployment with up to 25% travel to test and debug systems in operational environments. You will contribute across the entire software lifecycle—prototyping, implementation, testing, and deployment—while troubleshooting and resolving issues in deployed systems.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. You must have 5+ years of hands-on experience developing production-grade software in C++ and/or Rust, with demonstrated expertise in networking software, API/ICD design, low-level data transport, and hardware interfacing. Strong systems-level thinking, passion for mission-critical software, and willingness to travel up to 50% are essential. Experience with international suppliers and customers in the EMEA region is valued. Security clearance eligibility is required.
