Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to join the Maneuver Dominance team in Abu Dhabi. This role focuses on designing, developing, and integrating software that connects autonomous platforms with mission payloads, including stores management systems (SMS), networked devices, and hardware interfaces.
You will architect APIs and data transport layers that move information reliably between vehicles, payloads, and ground systems in demanding operational environments. Key responsibilities include developing networked software for routers and switches, designing payload and SMS integration systems, architecting APIs using HTTP, REST, and gRPC, building low-level data transport over UDP and TCP, writing hardware-interfacing code for embedded devices and sensors, and collaborating cross-functionally with hardware, systems, vehicle, and payload teams.
The role involves real-world deployment with up to 25% travel to test, debug, and deploy systems in operational environments. You will contribute across the entire software lifecycle from prototyping through deployment, troubleshoot issues in deployed systems, and ensure reliability in mission-critical applications.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. You need 5+ years of hands-on production-grade software development in C++ and/or Rust, with experience building networking software, designing APIs and ICDs, understanding low-level data transport, and interfacing with hardware. Systems-level thinking, passion for mission-critical impact, and willingness to travel up to 50% are essential. Experience with international suppliers and EMEA operations is valued. Security clearance eligibility is required.
