Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to join the Maneuver Dominance team, focused on multi-asset autonomy and autonomous systems integration. In this role, you will design and develop software that connects autonomous platforms (such as Ghost and Altius drones) with mission payloads, stores management systems (SMS), networked devices, and hardware interfaces within Anduril's Lattice OS ecosystem. Key responsibilities include: • Develop networked software that interacts with managed networks, routers, switches, and other networking hardware in demanding operational environments. • Design and implement payload and SMS integration software to coordinate the release and control of munitions and mission payloads. • Architect APIs and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) using HTTP, REST, and gRPC to connect distributed systems across vehicles, payloads, and ground stations. • Build and optimize low-level data transport over UDP and TCP, ensuring reliable, low-latency communication in constrained operational settings. • Write hardware-interfacing code that bridges embedded devices, sensors, and payload electronics with higher-level autonomy software. • Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, systems, vehicle, and payload teams to seamlessly integrate software into physical platforms. • Travel up to 25% (with flexibility up to 50%) to test, debug, and deploy systems in operational environments. • Contribute across the entire software lifecycle, including prototyping, implementation, testing, and deployment. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in deployed systems to ensure reliability and mission success. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. You must have 5+ years of hands-on production-grade software development in C++ and/or Rust, with strong experience in networking software, API/ICD design, low-level data transport, and hardware interfacing. Systems-level thinking, passion for mission-critical impact, and experience with international suppliers in the EMEA region are essential. Security clearance eligibility is required.
