Salary: USD 220,000 - 292,000 / annual

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced autonomy, AI, and sensor fusion. The Maneuver Dominance team develops multi-asset autonomy systems, including Omen, a hover-to-cruise autonomous air vehicle (AAV) that operates from ship decks, beaches, and remote locations with runway independence. Omen has secured a mass-production contract for 50 systems. As a Senior Robotics Software Engineer on the Omen Team, you will own mission autonomy systems and services deployed to customers. You'll solve complex problems spanning networking, autonomy, systems integration, robotics, and perception while making pragmatic engineering tradeoffs. Your responsibilities include writing production code to improve products and scale mission capability, collaborating across teams to plan and test complex functionality, creating and analyzing metrics for debugging and monitoring, triaging issues and coordinating root-cause analysis, and partnering with end-users to translate needs into features while balancing user experience with engineering constraints. You'll travel up to 25% of the time to build, test, and deploy capabilities in real-world environments. Required qualifications include a strong engineering background (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics), 6+ years of professional experience with C++ or Rust, experience building software solutions involving significant data processing and analysis, ability to navigate complex systems and established codebases, and eligibility to obtain an active U.S. Secret security clearance. Preferred experience includes strong backgrounds in Physics, Mathematics, or Motion Planning for modeling and simulation; developing and testing multi-agent autonomous systems in real-world environments; feature and algorithm development with behavior trees; flight systems and safety-critical software development; and distributed communication networks and message standards.
