CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior RF Test Engineer II to design, analyze, and implement engineering test plans and procedures for satellite, spacecraft, and aerospace communication systems. This role is ideal for someone with strong hardware and software knowledge, proficiency in RF measurements, test equipment (VSAs, VSGs, VNAs), test architectures, and automation. Experience with phased array testing is preferred.
Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with design and test engineering teams to develop test requirements, mapping requirements to reusable test architectures and procedures, implementing test plans and procedures, and logging and presenting results to stakeholders. You will also manage lab and equipment, guide equipment purchase decisions, and architect RF test systems.
Senior-level engineers at CesiumAstro are distinguished by their ability to architect RF test systems, draw insightful conclusions from test results, and participate in design-for-test planning from early product development stages. Test engineers are core members of the technical team and will present engineering design review materials to customers and the executive team, as well as participate in proposal-writing efforts.
The ideal candidate possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, works well in cross-functional teams, and thrives in a dynamic startup environment. This is a hands-on role requiring direct involvement in critical test system development for leading-edge satellite and aerospace platforms.
