CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior RF Engineer to join its hardware team developing communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and aerospace platforms. This role focuses on RF circuits and systems design across the full development lifecycle—from concept through in-orbit support.
Responsibilities include board-level RF electronics design, schematic development, and PCB layout for complex RF circuits. You will work on phased array communication systems, including RF front-ends, frequency converters, synthesizers, filters, beamformers, power dividers, and phased array antennas. The position requires proficiency in system-level communications concepts such as link budgets and modulation schemes.
Key deliverables span the entire design process: block diagrams, detailed schematics, PCB layout and routing, simulations, and test design. You will also conduct hardware design reviews, present engineering materials to customers and executives, and contribute to proposal-writing efforts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in RF hardware design for space or aerospace applications, understands the nuances of satellite and spacecraft systems, and thrives in a dynamic, cross-functional startup environment.
