CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior RF Engineer to join its hardware team in Westminster, Colorado. The company develops advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms.
In this role, you will own RF circuits and systems across the full development lifecycle—from initial concept through in-orbit support. Your responsibilities will span board-level schematic design, PCB layout, system-level communications analysis (link budgets, modulation schemes), and phased array communication systems including RF front-ends, frequency converters, synthesizers, filters, beamformers, power dividers, and phased array antennas.
Key deliverables include block diagrams, detailed schematics, PCB layout and routing, simulations, and test design. You will also present engineering design review materials to customers and the executive team, and contribute to proposal-writing efforts.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in board-level RF electronics design, proficiency in RF schematic design and PCB layout, and strong understanding of system-level communications concepts. You should thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional startup environment and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Note: Due to U.S. Government Space Technology Export Regulations, applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
