Salary: USD 125,000 - 210,000 / annual
AscendArc is a startup revolutionizing satellite communications. As a Senior RF Engineer, you'll join the founding team of the RF payload design group, working on cutting-edge satellite communications systems. This is a hands-on role where you'll connect vision to hardware, designing, building, testing, and flying revolutionary RF systems.
You'll participate in developing RF printed circuits that form the core of communications satellite payloads, with emphasis on amplifiers, filtering, and PCB structures. Working alongside experienced engineers in a hardware-rich environment, you'll collaborate on design reviews, follow best practices, and iterate rapidly to deliver results.
Key responsibilities include RF circuit design and development, PCB design and manufacturing, testing of analog RF devices, and integration of RF components into satellite payloads. You'll work with RF frequencies from 7 GHz to 30 GHz, designing amplifiers, filters, transmission lines, PCB structures, and waveguide transitions. You'll also select and integrate analog RF components such as LNAs, SSPAs, local oscillators, mixers, filters, drivers, power dividers/combiners, switches, and attenuators.
Required qualifications: 5+ years of professional RF circuit design and development experience, BS or higher in electrical engineering. Desired experience includes RF design tools (HFSS, Keysight ADS), PCB design best practices, and knowledge of antennas, satellite communications, and link budget analysis.
This is a full-time, in-office position in Beaverton, OR. Due to U.S. export control regulations, applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or have refugee/asylee status. Temporary work visa holders cannot be considered.
