AcuityMD is an AI platform for MedTech trusted by over 500 medical device companies, including 16 of the top 20. The company was ranked No. 316 on the 2026 Inc. 5000 list and named to Forbes' 2025 "Next Billion-Dollar Startups" list. It is backed by Benchmark, Redpoint Ventures, ICONIQ, and Atreides Management.
In this Senior Revenue Accountant role, you will own day-to-day revenue accounting execution as AcuityMD scales. You will ensure revenue is recognized accurately, on time, and in compliance with ASC 606 across subscription, usage-based, and professional services contracts. You will partner closely with Sales, RevOps, Legal, and Finance to ensure complex deals are understood before closing and will help build controls and processes to maintain audit readiness.
Key responsibilities include:
- Applying ASC 606 to new and amended contracts, including performance obligations, standalone selling price allocation, contract modifications, and variable consideration for usage-based fees
- Preparing month-end and quarter-end close activities: revenue entries, deferred revenue schedules, and contract-level reconciliations
- Maintaining sub-ledger flow between HubSpot and Rillet, reconciling contract data to revenue schedules, and flagging gaps early
- Reviewing non-standard contract terms (discounts, bundled services, renewals, upsells) and providing Sales and Deal Desk with clear revenue guidance
- Supporting capitalized contract cost accounting under ASC 340-40, including amortization schedules and period-end true-ups
- Building and maintaining audit support documentation, drafting technical memos, and responding to auditor requests
- Documenting procedures, tightening controls, and automating manual steps to scale the function efficiently
- Communicating revenue implications in plain language to non-finance teams and reducing close-time friction
AcuityMD is remote-first but maintains a Boston hub. The company brings teams together 4–5 times per year for company-wide and team on-sites. If based near Boston, there is no set requirement for office attendance; flexibility is based on what works best for you and your team.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA-eligible preferred
- 4–6 years of revenue accounting experience in public accounting and/or high-growth SaaS companies
- Hands-on ASC 606 experience with multi-element and usage-based contracts, including SSP analysis and contract modifications
- Experience owning a revenue close, including deferred revenue roll-forwards and reconciliations
- Comfort with cloud ERP and billing systems (Rillet experience a plus) and strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
- Ability to explain GAAP clearly to Sales, Legal, and executive stakeholders
- Detail-oriented and proactive, with a bias toward process improvement
NICE TO HAVES:
- B2B SaaS experience, ideally MedTech or another regulated vertical
- Usage-based or hybrid pricing experience and related ASC 606 implications
- Experience with ASC 340-40 deferred commissions
- Familiarity with HubSpot CRM and its integration to a revenue sub-ledger
- Exposure to SOX scoping or public company readiness work
