Morning Consult is a global decision intelligence company that pairs proprietary high-frequency data with rigorous analysis to inform decisions on what people think and how they will act. You will join the Research Solutions team as a Senior Research Manager, reporting to a Research Director.
In this role, you will own the research behind a set of client accounts, executing custom quantitative studies and running multiple projects concurrently with minimal oversight. You will build and nurture client relationships that drive renewals and new business, handling moderate-complexity conversations independently and spotting expansion opportunities. You will contribute to proposals and pitches, bringing the research perspective alongside Directors and Account Executives.
You will manage the full project lifecycle from kickoff through post-delivery documentation, applying methodological knowledge to survey design, analysis, and storytelling without Director direction. You will deliver first drafts that are close to client-ready, consistently using deliverable and project checklists at every stage gate. You will anticipate downstream risks, raising them to the Director before they reach the client with proposed mitigations.
You will also help set standards for the team, coaching Research Managers and Research Associates on craft, service standards, and quality. You will run touchpoints with Research Operations and Sales independently, keeping the Director informed without looping them into every step. You will use AI in higher-complexity workflows (multi-wave tracking, cross-tab analysis), critically reviewing every AI-assisted output before it moves forward to ensure nothing sub-client-ready reaches clients or reviewers. You will pressure-test new processes, propose improvements, and document what works.
Morning Consult offers modern, open-concept offices in Washington, DC, Chicago, IL, and New York, NY, all accessible by public transportation. The company provides catered lunch on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and hosts impromptu after-work happy hours.
