Salary: USD 90,000 - 110,000 / annual

Deep Genomics is an AI-driven biotech company integrating machine learning with complex biology to transform drug discovery. The company's proprietary platform decodes RNA biology to identify novel drug targets and therapeutics inaccessible through traditional methods. The team spans machine learning, bioinformatics, data science, genetics, chemistry, and drug development across offices in Toronto and Cambridge, MA. The Senior Research Associate will join the in vivo Pharmacology team within the Platform Biology group, playing a key role in driving the company's cutting-edge AI RNA therapeutics discovery platform. You will support in vivo therapeutic efficacy testing of novel RNA therapeutics in various animal models, working both independently and within cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced biotech environment. Key responsibilities include: coordinating study logistics (dosing schedules, sample collection plans, reagent preparation, partner communication); managing in vivo samples and preparing them for downstream analysis; performing standard molecular biology techniques (PCR, qPCR, ddPCR, ELISA, Western blot, capillary-based Western blot) in a consistent and reproducible manner; supporting development of novel molecular and functional assays on animal samples for the internal therapeutic pipeline; analyzing, visualizing, and summarizing study data while maintaining accurate documentation in an electronic lab notebook; and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support project goals and meet company timelines. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, collaborative, and demonstrates scientific curiosity and initiative. You should be comfortable with hands-on work and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Pharmacology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or related field with 2–4+ years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree with 1–2+ years of relevant pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience - Basic understanding of molecular biology and tissue sample processing for RNA and protein readouts - Mandatory: hands-on experience with rodents, basic injections (tail vein, subcutaneous, intraperitoneal), necropsy, and in vivo study coordination - Demonstrated ability to execute various ex vivo molecular assays - Excellent communication and organizational skills with willingness to learn - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced technical environment Preferred qualifications: - Past experience with RNA oligonucleotide therapeutics in animal models - Basic knowledge of histology and immunohistochemical assays and quantification - Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional teams - Experience working in an advanced data and computing environment
