Salary: USD 109,200 - 140,000 / annual

You will join the Discovery Pharmacology team as a Senior Research Associate, supporting critical drug discovery and development projects by executing a wide range of biological and bioanalytical assays. This role is approximately 80% benchtop science work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Execute drug discovery and development projects independently and collaboratively with the scientific manager
- Culture and maintain mammalian cells, manage reagents and working stocks, and contribute to lab maintenance
- Design, optimize, automate, execute, and troubleshoot cellular, biochemical, and complex in vitro bioassays
- Standardize and optimize assay protocols and draft assay SOPs
- Document assay methods, raw data, and results in electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN) ensuring reproducibility and data integrity
- Present data at project team meetings to support decision-making
Required qualifications:
- BS or MS in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience in drug discovery and/or development
- Strong expertise in AAV gene therapy technical methods, cellular transduction assays, genome titration (qPCR, ddPCR), transgene expression analysis, and protein analysis (Western Blot, ELISA, capillary electrophoresis)
- Hands-on experience developing and performing analytical and bioassays with data analysis and statistical expertise
- Experience with state-of-the-art assay technologies (MSD, HTRF, AlphaLISA, Luminex)
- Hands-on experience with automation instruments (Bravo, Echo, I.DOT, digital dispensers)
- Proficiency in ELN documentation
- Excellent data presentation, oral, and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, flexible, and capable of multitasking in fast-paced environments
Preferred qualifications include experience across diverse therapeutic modalities (viral gene therapy, mRNA-LNP, nucleic acid therapeutics, small molecules), background in aging/rejuvenation biology, and familiarity with assay qualification criteria and SOP authoring.
