Rhoda AI is building generalist intelligent robots with a full robotics stack spanning hardware, systems, and foundation world models. The company has raised over $450M and is scaling aggressively across model research, infrastructure, hardware development, and manufacturing. As Senior Reliability Engineer, you own reliability as a core engineering discipline. You decompose platform and subsystem requirements into mission profiles—duty cycles, load spectra, environmental exposures—that define real-world use in industrial workspaces. These mission profiles drive accelerated test planning (HALT/HASS, thermal cycling, vibration, fatigue) with appropriate acceleration factors, sample sizes, and pass/fail criteria. You operate as a T-shaped engineer: a strong generalist across electromechanical systems (actuators, motors, power electronics, structures) with a superpower for translating ambiguous early-stage requirements into actionable mission profiles and test plans. Key responsibilities include: - Decomposing requirements into mission profiles and duty-cycle models - Designing accelerated test plans using acceleration models (Arrhenius, Coffin-Manson, inverse power law) - Building and maintaining FMEA/FMECA analyses for critical subsystems - Applying quantitative reliability methods (Weibull, MTBF/MTTF, survival analysis, physics-of-failure models) - Partnering cross-functionally with actuator, electrical, and structures engineers - Building reliability data infrastructure and reporting for trend tracking and scaling from prototype to production You bring 5+ years of reliability engineering with demonstrated ownership of mission profile development and accelerated test design. You have hands-on experience with FMEA/FMECA, Weibull analysis, MTBF/MTTF modeling, and electromechanical systems in active development. Bonus experience includes automotive/EV/robotics/semiconductor reliability, founding a reliability program from scratch, electronics reliability, field-data analysis, and Python scripting for reliability tooling.
