ICEYE is seeking a Senior R&D Supply Chain Specialist to join its Global Supply Chain Organization in Munich, supporting fast-paced hardware engineering teams. The company is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space, operating the world's largest SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation serving defense, intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance, and emergency management customers.
In this role, you will serve as the hands-on supply chain counterpart for rapidly evolving electronics engineering teams working on multiple concurrent hardware projects. You will translate early-stage concepts and mid-design changes into actionable sourcing steps with minimal delay, providing engineers with real-time insights on component availability, alternates, obsolescence, and quick-turn manufacturing options. You will identify supply issues before they become blockers and propose immediate workaround paths.
Key responsibilities include owning sourcing and procurement for electronic components, PCB fabrication, PCBA assembly, connectors, sensors, RF parts, embedded modules, and custom mechanical parts. You will react quickly to BOM updates and design pivots, securing materials that keep prototype and pilot builds moving with minimal downtime. You will manage relationships with agile suppliers capable of quick-turn, small-batch production and lead efforts to find alternative components or new supply paths within hours when shortages occur.
You will work closely with electronics suppliers to understand lead time constraints, technical manufacturing capabilities, DFM implications, and opportunities for fast-track builds. You will support technical capability assessments of PCB/PCBA vendors, machining partners, and component distributors, and negotiate accelerated manufacturing slots and expedited shipments under compressed timelines.
Cross-functional collaboration is essential. You will coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, program management, and operations to remove obstacles and maintain build readiness. You will maintain complete visibility into prototype schedules, engineering changes, and material risks, communicating clearly and frequently. You will operate with a bias for action: if something is unclear, you chase it; if something breaks, you fix it; if something is missing, you find it.
You will build and maintain a living view of supply risks across all active programs and proactively propose mitigation actions. You will keep sourcing documentation, cost tracking, and procurement data updated even under fast-moving conditions. You will bring an experimentation mindset, testing new suppliers, sourcing channels, manufacturing partners, and tools to reduce lead times and cost.
This role requires Dutch (native) or English (B2 minimum) language proficiency. Employment is subject to applicable security screening, including SUPO where required.
