LeoLabs is building a global radar network and AI-enabled analytics platform for space domain awareness, tracking over 25,000 objects in low Earth orbit. The company provides radar-powered intelligence to protect assets, monitor adversarial behavior, and ensure safe operations for commercial and government space missions. As a Senior Radar Software Engineer, you will design, develop, test, and maintain software systems supporting advanced radar operations and space domain awareness missions. You'll work across radar systems engineers, signal processing engineers, data scientists, and software developers to deliver high-performance radar capabilities for mission-critical customer requirements. Key responsibilities include: - Design and develop software for radar data collection, processing, analysis, and operational deployment - Build interfaces and services supporting sensor operations, telemetry, data management, and mission execution - Develop scalable and reliable solutions for radar control, monitoring, automation, and performance optimization - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate new capabilities into operational environments - Support software architecture development and technical design reviews - Participate in system integration, verification, validation, and field testing - Troubleshoot operational issues and support root-cause analysis - Contribute to software development best practices, code reviews, and technical documentation - Support customer demonstrations and operational readiness activities Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; 7+ years of professional software engineering experience; strong programming in Python, C++, or similar languages; experience designing distributed systems, APIs, and data-intensive applications; Linux development environment proficiency; familiarity with software testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices; strong problem-solving and multidisciplinary team collaboration skills; U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain U.S. Personnel Security Clearance. Preferred: radar systems, RF systems, signal processing, or sensor data processing experience; DoD, Intelligence Community, or Space Force program support; bare-metal systems experience; constrained compute environment familiarity; large-scale telemetry or real-time data processing systems experience; active U.S. Secret or Top Secret clearance; classified program and secure computing environment experience.
