Robinhood is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join its Quality Engineering team in Toronto. This role is critical to the company's mission of democratizing finance, supporting high-impact product launches across iOS, Android, and Web platforms.
You will own the quality of new features throughout the development lifecycle, from test planning and strategy definition to execution and feedback. Key responsibilities include designing comprehensive test strategies for P0 product launches (both frontend and backend validation), performing manual and automated testing with a focus on end-to-end functionality, automating mobile and web E2E test cases, and building test coverage that accurately reflects user experience through functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
You'll partner closely with engineering teams and contractor teams on regression test cycles, serving as the final line of defense for product quality. This is a fast-paced environment where you'll need to balance technical rigor with pragmatism, ensuring Robinhood's customers have a seamless experience during critical launches.
Required experience includes proven testing of mobile (iOS/Android) and web applications in fast-paced product environments, strong QA principles and test case development expertise, hands-on experience with UI automation tools (Appium, Selenium, Playwright), comfort with scripting languages (Python, Java), and familiarity with bug tracking (Jira) and test management tools (TestRail). Excellent communication, user empathy, and attention to detail are essential.
The role is based in Robinhood's Toronto office with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. The company emphasizes the value of in-person collaboration for innovation and team building. Compensation is performance-driven with bonuses and equity ownership. Benefits include supplemental health insurance, mental health support, a lifestyle wallet for flexible benefits spending, generous time off, and a monthly commuter stipend.
