As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be a technical leader responsible for building and scaling test automation, quality infrastructure, and performance testing systems. You'll lead the design and implementation of core automation frameworks, including migration from Cypress to Playwright and performance testing frameworks. Your responsibilities include defining root cause analysis (RCA) and failure triage processes across teams, personally leading RCAs on complex failures, and tackling the company's most challenging quality problems—from automation architecture to AI-assisted testing.
You will drive projects from ideation through deployment, with high autonomy to identify and pursue impactful work. The role requires designing and delivering large-scale, cross-functional quality initiatives while mentoring senior engineers and elevating the quality bar across the engineering organization.
Required background: 8-10+ years building and scaling test automation for complex software systems. You need strong programming ability in JavaScript/TypeScript, proven track record of leading large-scale quality initiatives, and hands-on experience integrating AI into quality workflows. You should have experience root-causing complex failures, mentoring engineers, and driving quality strategy across multiple engineering environments.
Tech stack includes JavaScript/NodeJS/TypeScript, Cypress, Playwright, AI agentic frameworks, performance testing tools (JMeter/k6), MongoDB, microservice architecture, Kubernetes, and AWS/Google Cloud.
