Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to serve as the technical anchor for quality assurance, release management, and incident management across the systems that power Anduril's manufacturing operations. You will join the Mission Control team within CorpTech Platform, a strategic engineering organization responsible for building the internal systems and foundations that enable Anduril's defense technology business to scale.
In this role, you will design and build automated system integration tests that exercise Anduril's product lines end-to-end across multiple interconnected systems (PLM, ERP, MES, WMS). Rather than validating services in isolation, you will create tests that simulate real production workloads and data, enabling engineers and operators to verify quality themselves. You will leverage AI tooling to author, maintain, and triage tests more efficiently, and build mechanisms to detect when test simulations drift from production reality.
Key responsibilities include: setting test strategy and release readiness criteria for the release train; reasoning about distributed architecture failures that cross service, network, and vendor boundaries; building observability and instrumentation to turn failing tests and production incidents into actionable signals; partnering with engineering teams and business stakeholders to move quality upstream into design; contributing directly in code and infrastructure to improve developer feedback loops and production stability; and supporting launch readiness, incident response, and root cause analysis with a bias toward eliminating classes of failure.
You will set the technical standard for testing craft across Mission Control through review, pairing, and example, without becoming a bottleneck. This is a hands-on role that balances direct implementation with systems-level quality strategy.
Required: 8+ years in software engineering, SDET, SRE, quality engineering, or infrastructure engineering in fast-paced environments. Demonstrated experience building and operating automated integration or end-to-end test suites for production systems. Strong technical fluency in modern software architectures, APIs, distributed systems, CI/CD, and cloud/platform infrastructure. Experience reasoning about failures across system boundaries with strong debugging and incident response instincts. Experience with frontier AI tooling, AI coding assistants, or agentic systems, including awareness of quality and reliability challenges they introduce.
