Aspire is a Series C fintech platform building the financial operating system for global founders, trusted by 50,000+ startups. The company is redefining quality engineering through AI-driven automation, moving beyond traditional manual testing toward intelligent, system-enforced quality.
This Senior QA Engineer role is not a traditional QA position. You'll own multiple high-impact initiatives:
**AI Test Generation Pipeline**: Lead development of an LLM pipeline that automatically generates tests from product specifications, eliminating manual test authoring. You'll design the context for accurate generation, engineer prompts that scale, and validate output against live test results—transforming how QA operates at Aspire.
**Merge Guardrail System**: The merge guardrail is already live in production, reading product specs at PR time and blocking merges when coverage gaps or critical bugs are detected. You'll sharpen its accuracy, extend it across all engineering teams, and integrate it with the test generation pipeline so it creates missing tests rather than just blocking.
**Test Suite Reliability**: Build automation that engineers trust. You'll drive reliability through synthetic test data, smarter failure classification, and risk-based test selection. Every alert must be meaningful—a suite that cries wolf is worse than no suite.
**Quality Ownership**: Own quality end-to-end for your domains. You'll participate in design conversations, understand specs and code deeply, and prevent issues before they reach production—critical in regulated fintech handling real money.
**Security Regression Testing**: Build automated security regression tests across high-risk API endpoints, verifying every auth boundary at merge time. In fintech, auth misconfigurations reaching customers is unacceptable.
**Regulatory Compliance**: Build MAS Singapore requirements from scratch.
You're an engineer who specializes in quality, not a test executor. You build frameworks and pipelines, read backend code and API contracts, trace failures to root causes, and move without waiting. You've shipped real AI automation—not tutorials or plans—and learned from the failure modes. You hold quality to a high standard: flaky tests offend you, coverage gaps that ship are failures you want to prevent.
**Required**: 3+ years in software testing with at least one meaningful fintech or regulated-environment project. Strong Playwright experience (TypeScript preferred) with clean, maintainable test architecture. Shipped something with AI—automation, agent, or LLM workflow that replaced real manual work. Solid CI/CD integration (GitHub Actions, Jenkins). Comfortable reading backend code and API contracts. Owned quality end-to-end for a product domain. Familiarity with complex financial workflows (payments, KYB/KYC, transaction processing) is a strong plus.
