Cloaked is a consumer privacy and identity platform backed by $375M Series B funding, protecting 10M+ identities and removing 1B+ records from data brokers. The company is building AI-native privacy solutions with autonomous agents that monitor and defend users' digital footprints.
As Senior QA Engineer, you will own quality across Cloaked's web, mobile, and API products. This is a hands-on role where you design and execute test plans, build and maintain automated test suites, and collaborate with feature teams to ensure high-quality delivery without sacrificing velocity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning quality strategy and signal across web, mobile, and API surfaces
- Designing comprehensive test plans with hands-on exploratory testing
- Building and improving test automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, and Appium
- Integrating and maintaining automated tests within CI/CD pipelines
- Analyzing test results, identifying flaky tests, and improving suite reliability
- Leveraging AI-assisted workflows (Cursor, Claude) to accelerate test generation and maintenance
- Collaborating with developers and product managers on feature testing approaches
- Contributing to QA/Product documentation and code reviews
- Flagging coverage gaps and proposing solutions
Required experience: 7+ years in QA/QA automation with hands-on manual and automated test suite development. Strong testing fundamentals (test design, planning, defect management), cross-platform testing experience (web, mobile, API), and proficiency with Playwright, Selenium, Appium. Strong scripting skills in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java. Demonstrated use of AI tools to enhance your own workflow.
Nice-to-have skills include Datadog, PostHog, Jira, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI), API testing (Postman), security/privacy product exposure, performance testing tools, visual regression testing, device farms, startup experience, and QA mentoring.
