Amca is building critical components and subsystems for America's defense and aerospace industrial base. The company operates seven factories nationwide and delivers avionics, hydraulic, and electrical components for military aircraft (F-35, F-16, F/A-18), commercial aircraft (737MAX, 787, A320neo, A321), and military vehicles (Mk-48, M1 Abrams). As Senior Propulsion Component Test Engineer, you will own the verification and qualification testing of propulsion control hardware. This role sits at the intersection of design and proof, requiring rigor in both test setup and data analysis. Key responsibilities include: **Test Design and Setup:** Design and build test rigs, fixtures, and fluid loops for hydraulic and pneumatic hardware. Specify instrumentation and data acquisition systems for flow, pressure, temperature, and position measurement. Develop comprehensive test plans and detailed procedures for development, qualification, and acceptance testing. **Test Execution:** Lead flow, pressure, leakage, proof, burst, endurance, and environmental testing campaigns. Execute qualification testing against DO-160 and applicable MIL-STD requirements. Ensure safety practices for high-pressure and hazardous-fluid operations. **Analysis and Reporting:** Reduce and analyze test data, quantify uncertainty, and compare results to requirements. Author test reports and support root cause analysis on failures and anomalies. Feed test findings back to design teams and mentor junior test engineers. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or related engineering discipline. 5+ years in test engineering for propulsion components, fluids, hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical hardware. Hands-on experience with test rig design, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems. Strong grasp of fluid measurement, uncertainty analysis, and test data reduction. Experience planning and executing qualification test campaigns. Preferred: Master's degree, LabVIEW or comparable DAQ/test automation tools, DO-160 and MIL-STD familiarity, servo valve/actuator/high-pressure fluid system testing experience, multi-site manufacturing experience. Note: ITAR-restricted position requiring U.S. person status (citizenship, permanent residence, or protected person status).
