Voyager Technologies, an innovative space, defense, and national security technology company, is seeking a Senior Proposal Writer / Proposal Architect to join its Proposal Development Team. This role reports to the Director of Proposal Development and focuses on strategizing, architecting, and writing technical proposals for spacecraft delivery services and spacecraft systems targeting NASA, the Department of War, and other government and civilian customers.
Key responsibilities include developing technically credible and competitive aerospace proposals; drafting original content covering product descriptions, technical specifications, and performance requirements; contributing to proposal win themes, storyboards, and strategic narratives; writing executive summaries and critical proposal sections; conducting subject matter expert interviews to gather technical information; reviewing and converting technical documentation into polished proposal content; collaborating with graphic designers on visual representations; assembling and editing proposals for accuracy and compliance; addressing stakeholder feedback; and providing guidance to junior technical writers.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in a technical field (engineering, physical sciences, or related area) and brings 5+ years of aerospace industry experience. Required qualifications include basic understanding of spacecraft systems and engineering principles, prior competitive proposal writing experience, creativity in communicating technical topics through prose and graphics, high-level strategic thinking for technical narratives, strong critical thinking and writing abilities, collaborative cross-functional skills, exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities, and ability to multitask across overlapping projects.
Desired qualifications include prior experience as a systems engineer, program manager, or project manager in aerospace; deep understanding of spacecraft systems; and experience writing proposals to NASA or the Department of War.
