FlixTrain is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Rolling Stock & Maintenance to drive strategic initiatives across the train fleet. You will lead and steer strategically important projects in rolling stock and maintenance, including fleet development, financing initiatives, and vehicle procurement. Your responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage strategic projects in rolling stock and maintenance, including prioritization, resource planning, and stakeholder management across Rolling Stock, Maintenance, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams
- Prepare refurbishment projects holistically for executive decision-making, considering product attractiveness, commercial implications, and company-wide benefits
- Orchestrate financing projects from a business perspective, coordinating internal teams and external capital providers
- Evaluate market offerings for new train fleets from technical and commercial angles, and lead negotiations through procurement when appropriate
- Source and procure additional locomotives to ensure capacity and optimize the fleet
- Continuously monitor and analyze current fleet performance, deriving strategic recommendations
- Prepare C-level meetings with clear decision templates and strategic analyses

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completed degree (Master, Diplom) in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Engineering, or comparable qualification
- Multiple years of professional experience in management consulting or strategic project management
- Experience in evaluating and procuring vehicles or technical assets, from market analysis through contract closure
- Strong analytical skills to prepare complex technical and financial matters in an understandable manner
- Confident communication at C-level with strong presentation skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset and high initiative in dynamic environments
- Excellent German and English language skills (minimum C1 level, written and spoken)
