Salary: CAD 10,700 - 134,000 / annual

Rocket Lab is an end-to-end space company building rockets, spacecraft, and critical subsystems for global connectivity, defense, and deep-space exploration. The Space Systems team has enabled over 1,700 missions including interplanetary exploration, in-space manufacturing, and national security initiatives, partnering with NASA, the Space Development Agency, and the U.S. Space Force. Based at Rocket Lab's Sinclair Interplanetary facility in Toronto, the Senior Project Manager I reports to the Senior Engineering Manager and owns delivery of development projects with a focus on ADCS (Attitude Determination and Control Systems) components for satellites. Key responsibilities include: - Owning delivery of all key development projects, ensuring schedule and budget targets are met - Preparing and maintaining comprehensive schedule, budget, and resource plans - Collaborating with project teams to ensure alignment between schedules and assigned tasks - Running recurring project meetings and reviews, documenting minutes and action items - Providing progress updates to leadership and external stakeholders, flagging delays, cost increases, and risks - Maintaining the project risk register in collaboration with the technical lead - Coordinating scheduling and planning for internal and external facilities - Monitoring procurement of long-lead items and key components, working with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery - Coordinating new product introduction across quality, manufacturing, production, and supply chain teams Required qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, systems, aerospace, or related technical discipline) - 5+ years of related work experience in aerospace or similar industry - Proficiency with project and engineering management tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, etc.) Desirable qualifications include a Master's degree in engineering, experience with ECSS and NASA standards, PMP/APMP certification, direct spacecraft design and testing experience, and strong communication skills.
