Safe Software, a 30+ year-old enterprise data integration platform company (FME), is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Cloud Services to join the Information Services team. This role owns and advances key initiatives within corporate cloud services, directly influencing service reliability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
You will oversee cloud infrastructure projects across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments, implementing scalable and secure frameworks while establishing best practices for AI-centered automation, governance, and Infrastructure as Code. You'll manage strategic vendor relationships, enterprise SaaS architecture, and service optimization while collaborating with IT Support, Legal, and InfoSec teams.
Security and compliance are core responsibilities: you'll partner with InfoSec on incident response, align cloud operations with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR frameworks, and improve RBAC and least-privilege access models. You'll enable product engineering, DevOps, and support teams with secure, cost-effective infrastructure while defining provisioning guidelines aligned with performance, security, and budget goals.
FinOps and cost optimization are critical: champion FinOps culture across teams, optimize spend with reserved instances and autoscaling, and collaborate with Finance on budgeting and vendor contracts. You'll define and execute the corporate cloud roadmap, evaluate emerging technologies including AI tools, and represent Information Services in cross-functional leadership forums.
The Information Services team is a cross-functional group managing corporate IT infrastructure, cloud governance, product development support, financial transparency, and security/compliance standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent education and experience)
- 6+ years managing and delivering cloud services or enterprise IT initiatives, ideally in SaaS or software-driven organizations
- Proven experience leading cloud services and corporate IT functions
- Strong understanding of Azure, AWS, and GCP with ability to collaborate with technical experts
- Strong grasp of FinOps, IT automation, and governance practices
- Security and compliance expertise (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code practices (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Experience with cost optimization tools and dashboarding (CloudHealth, AWS Cost Explorer)
- Knowledge of security best practices including IAM and RBAC
- Ability to communicate strategy and technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience influencing cross-functional teams and senior leadership
