5 is an energy market advisory and procurement firm that helps clients manage exposure to volatile energy prices through unparalleled energy procurement, sustainability, and risk management services. The company's team includes energy market innovators, engineers, commodity traders, technologists, and business development professionals.
You will lead and provide oversight on the organization's most important cross-functional initiatives, sitting close to leadership as both strategic partner and operator. Your core responsibility is turning priorities into executable plans and delivering measurable results from kickoff through completion.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead major cross-functional initiatives, ensuring strong execution and measurable results
- Serve as strategic partner to senior leadership, translating high-level priorities into clear plans, owners, milestones, and success metrics
- Drive day-to-day execution across teams, proactively identifying risks and dependencies, removing roadblocks, and maintaining schedule and budget discipline
- Establish and maintain business cadence through planning sessions, status reviews, and executive updates
- Build clear, decision-ready reporting and dashboards providing visibility into progress, risks, and outcomes
- Coordinate and align stakeholders across engineering, risk management, operations, technology, business development, and external partners
- Own communication and follow-through on key decisions, ensuring action items are documented and completed
- Continuously improve organizational planning, prioritization, and execution processes
- Lead special projects and high-priority efforts on behalf of leadership
You bring 7+ years of experience in project management, program management, chief of staff, strategy and operations, management consulting, or similar roles leading complex cross-functional initiatives. You have a proven track record of driving execution and delivering results across multiple simultaneous initiatives in fast-paced environments. You demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence and align people across all organizational levels including senior leadership. You operate with sound business judgment, discretion, ownership, and a bias toward action.
Experience in the deregulated energy industry (procurement, supply, retail energy, commodity markets, sustainability) is strongly preferred. You are proficient with modern project management, collaboration, and reporting tools, and comfortable using AI tools and technologies to improve workflows. Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
