Voyager Space is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead end-to-end execution of solid rocket motor design and manufacturing programs for the Strategic Systems line of business. Based in Penrose/Pueblo, Colorado, this role reports to the Program Manager for Solid Rocket Motors and owns program delivery from concept through qualification.
Key responsibilities include:
• Lead execution of solid rocket motor design and manufacturing programs from proposal through qualification, owning schedule, cost (via earned value management), and technical performance metrics from day one.
• Serve as the primary technical interface with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders, driving alignment on requirements, risks, and program status.
• Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), ensuring baseline control through design, development, test, and production phases.
• Identify, assess, and drive mitigation of program risks and technical issues; escalate unresolved constraints proactively to program leadership.
The role combines hands-on technical depth with program execution and project management. You will work on mission-critical space, defense, and national security technologies. This is an onsite position in Penrose/Pueblo, Colorado.
Basic qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace, or closely related engineering field with 7+ years of combined technical engineering and project engineering/management experience (or 11+ years without degree).
