ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space, operating the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation. The company delivers persistent monitoring capabilities to governments, defense and intelligence agencies, and commercial customers across environmental monitoring, insurance, and emergency management.
As Senior Program Manager in the Missions Programs department, you will own the end-to-end delivery of complex satellite mission programs from contract execution through customer delivery. You will act as the central orchestrator across engineering, product, operations, and commercial teams, ensuring programs deliver on commitments while building strong, trusted customer relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering assigned satellite mission programs on time, within budget, and to agreed performance standards
- Serving as the primary customer interface throughout program execution, managing senior stakeholders and complex requirements
- Establishing and driving clear program plans covering scope, milestones, resources, and financials aligned with internal and customer objectives
- Identifying, managing, and resolving risks, dependencies, and escalations to ensure uninterrupted delivery
- Orchestrating cross-functional execution across multiple teams
- Supporting implementation of scalable program management practices to improve delivery reliability and efficiency
- Establishing effective reporting structures and communication channels for timely information flow
The role is based in ICEYE's Tokyo facility and requires travel to customer sites. You will report to the Program Director.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have:
- 5–10 years' experience delivering complex, multi-stakeholder programs in advanced technology environments (space, defence, telecom, automotive, IT)
- Strong customer-facing capability, including managing senior stakeholders and complex requirements
- Proven leadership of cross-functional teams to deliver aligned outcomes
- Expertise in end-to-end program management (planning, execution, governance across scope, schedule, budget, and risk)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in uncertain environments
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven Customer Success capabilities
- Degree in business, engineering, or a related field
- Must have or be able to obtain Japanese security clearance
- Native-level Japanese and minimum professional proficiency in English
Nice to have:
- Experience on satellite or similarly complex system programs
- Experience with governmental or defense customers
- Knowledge of hardware, software, or embedded systems development
- Experience in product development environments
- Master's degree in business, engineering, or a relevant field
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification
