GitLab is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional technology programs within the Enterprise Technology & AI organization. This role sits at the intersection of Technology, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Product, and Business Operations, serving as the connective tissue that drives program delivery, surfaces risks, and keeps stakeholders aligned.
You will own end-to-end program management for large, high-visibility Enterprise Technology, AI, and Data initiatives, including scope definition, roadmap development, dependency management, resource planning, execution tracking, and change management. Key responsibilities include leading enterprise applications and operational transformation programs that improve business processes and reduce friction for internal teams; partnering with business and technical stakeholders to clarify goals, define success metrics, and translate strategy into actionable plans; driving operating rhythms across programs through status reporting, RAID management, milestone reviews, and executive communications; identifying program risks, gaps, and blockers early and recommending practical options; improving consistency and effectiveness of program delivery through strengthened governance and documentation; supporting adoption of AI-enabled workflows and automation opportunities; and contributing to GitLab's high-trust, async-first culture.
Required qualifications include 7+ years of program management experience with a strong track record delivering cross-functional Enterprise Technology, AI, and Data programs; demonstrated ability to simplify complex processes and build structured approaches to ambiguous problems; experience influencing without authority and earning trust with senior stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Sales, and Product; comfort operating at both strategic and tactical levels; strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting to leadership; familiarity with Enterprise Tech domains such as business systems, data, AI, security, infrastructure, or enterprise architecture; experience with Architecture Review Boards or similar governance forums (strongly preferred); proficiency with program and project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, SAFe); and experience in remote, globally distributed environments with async collaboration practices.
