Salary: USD 95,000 - 115,000 / annual

Rocket Lab is an end-to-end space company building rockets, spacecraft, and critical subsystems. The Supply Chain team manages the flow of all materials, products, and components through the business, with direct impact on rocket and satellite program success. As a Senior Production Planner I, you will be based onsite at Rocket Lab's Long Beach headquarters and own work order management. You will interact cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and Finance to plan and manage production schedules, lead times, yield management, and engineering build timelines. Your core responsibility is ensuring the Production team has prioritized work in their queue and can build without blockers. Key responsibilities include: - Managing supply and fulfillment planning within MRP for Production work orders - Releasing work orders to Production and kit requests to Inventory - Creating visibility of material position through line of balance reports, material shortage reports, and clear-to-build reports - Supporting prioritization and expediting subassemblies to meet integration timelines - Ensuring part master data accuracy within MRP for Production parts - Understanding material demand and configuration accuracy - Working collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment to achieve company-wide goals You will thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where the company moves quickly to build real hardware for meaningful missions. The role involves occasional exposure to production areas with moderate noise, dust, and fumes. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of production planning experience AND a Bachelor's degree, OR 9+ years total work experience - Proven ability to conduct clear build reviews and expedite materials through production - Knowledge of Production Planning fundamentals including master data management, batch processing, and issue ticket disposition - Proficiency in MRP systems - Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, math, and statistics NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS: - Prior experience in aerospace, EV automotive, or other disruptive manufacturing industries - Experience in rapid growth environments - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings - Experience with AS9100 and US export controls - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills - Excellent verbal and written communication abilities - Experience with SQL, Python, or R Note: This position requires US citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or eligible authorization status due to ITAR regulations governing space technology exports.
