Salary: USD 170,000 - 205,000 / annual
Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company building the next generation of energy-efficient compute platforms. The Production Engineering team is responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of Crusoe's AI-optimized cloud platform that powers large-scale LLM training and inference workloads.
In this Senior Production Engineer role, you will be central to delivering highly available, performant, and cost-efficient AI infrastructure. You'll design and operate reliable managed AI services with a focus on scaling LLM workloads, define and measure SLIs/SLOs to ensure performance and reliability targets are met, and collaborate with AI, platform, and infrastructure teams to optimize large-scale training and inference clusters.
Key responsibilities include automating observability by building telemetry and performance tuning strategies for latency-sensitive services, investigating and resolving reliability issues in distributed AI systems using telemetry and profiling, and contributing to the architecture of next-generation distributed systems purpose-built for AI-first environments.
You should have a strong software engineering background with experience building production-grade systems beyond scripting. Demonstrated experience in distributed systems design and implementation is essential, along with an SRE mindset including defining/measuring SLIs/SLOs, building monitoring and observability systems, driving performance improvements, and designing fault-tolerant systems. Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Go, Java, C++) and familiarity with Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms are required. Strong collaboration and communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment round out the profile.
