Lightspark is building the Money Grid, modern open financial infrastructure enabling instant, accessible, and affordable payments for businesses and users globally. As a Senior Production Engineer, you will design, build, scale, and maintain production services that power Lightspark's platform. You'll write and improve code frameworks for monitoring, logging, database access, and authentication, while building and optimizing core infrastructure to support new features and functionality.
Key responsibilities include designing and securing production services, writing high-quality and well-tested code, collaborating across technical and cross-functional teams, and joining the on-call rotation to support software engineers and debug complex infrastructure problems. You'll work in an entrepreneurial environment focused on shipping code fast and building a culture of engineering excellence.
Required qualifications: 5+ years of production, site reliability, or DevOps engineering experience; strong coding skills with high-quality, well-tested code; experience with cloud infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code solutions (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform); and ability to communicate and collaborate across teams. Preferred: Python or other high-level language proficiency and CS degree or equivalent (non-traditional backgrounds welcome). The role requires openness to relocate to Los Angeles or ability to travel to the LA office monthly while working remotely otherwise.
