Salary: USD 166,000 - 194,000 / annual

The Senior Product Sourcing Engineer drives strategic supply network development and cost management of Anduril's product hardware across their lifecycles through cross-functional collaboration with suppliers, engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct supplier selection for specific products, leveraging approved supplier lists
- Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development through concept scoping, feature trade-off analysis, should-cost modeling, joint design development, and simulation of mechanical and electronics designs
- Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOMs in coordination with Quality and Manufacturing to ramp production internally and with suppliers while maintaining high flexibility
- Manage CAPEX throughout new product introduction (NPI)
- Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility
- Complete BOM risk assessments and identify alternate component sourcing
- Ensure completion of all component qualifications ahead of production
- Reduce complexity through commonality optimization and component/supplier rationalization
- Lead cost engineering activities to converge bottom-up cost curves to product cost targets, maximizing total cost of ownership (TCO) across the product lifecycle
- Manage ad-hoc cost issues including tariffs, import/export costs, and cost inflation
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field
- 8+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices
- Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component and product level
- Ability to travel 10-40% of the time, variable based on program needs
- Ability to relocate to Costa Mesa, CA if not already local; role requires onsite presence
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree or advanced technical degree in mechanical engineering
- Deeper experience in design and development of electronics and/or mechanical devices
- Advanced sourcing activities, including commodity/sourcing manager roles
- Supplier development experience (technology, process, supply chain)
- Early supplier engagement ahead of product/engineering requirement realization
- Familiarity with developing high-tech products in high-mix, low-volume environments
- Experience in fast-paced, start-up environments
- Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. TS clearance
