Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Product Quality Engineer to drive quality and reliability across missile programs. You will define, develop, and execute processes that deliver high-quality missile systems, working collaboratively with design teams, manufacturing, and customer partners.
Key responsibilities include:
• Lead product development and production for missile programs through drawing reviews, quality planning, inspection, acceptance testing, verification, validation, and qualification of processes, parts, and assemblies.
• Drive clarity and resolution for production ambiguities related to product maturity, process stability, and field performance.
• Champion the transition from new product introduction (NPI) to sustainable, high-rate manufacturing with predictable processes and supply chain support.
• Own elimination of product risk to improve reliability across the product lifecycle.
• Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA), Material Review Board (MRB) activities, and inspection process performance reviews.
• Conduct product health data analysis and establish metrics for measuring quality and predictive factors.
• Develop overall quality plans (APQP-style) for missile projects, leveraging resources and direct reports to deliver quality through the development cycle.
• Set expectations for qualification of internal and external manufacturing processes, including measurement methods, PPAP/FAI, inspection methods, and acceptance test plans.
• Lead the transition from engineering qualification to manufacturing variance testing.
• Matrix lead supplier quality engineers supporting design and development activities.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field; experience in engineering, manufacturing, or quality on missile or high-velocity vehicle systems; working knowledge of missile design review, quality management, PCBA, avionics, systems integration, composites, propulsion, and lethality systems; experience with FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, and GD&T; knowledge of mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes; strong ownership mindset and demonstrated project leadership capability.
