Kraken, one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms (founded 2011, trusted by 10M+ individuals and institutions), is hiring a Senior Product Manager to design and ship social experiences around investing and trading.
You will own the complete product vision for social journeys—from discovery and following to sharing trades, receiving responses, and driving retention. This role blends product strategy with hands-on interaction design and prototyping. You'll design complete user flows, specify interaction details (navigation, information hierarchy, copy, defaults, gestures, feedback), and prototype ideas in Figma or code before engineering commits. You'll apply behavioral psychology to understand why users hesitate to post, seek recognition, or follow strangers, then translate those insights into product decisions around visibility, reputation, and effort. You'll run usability sessions, analyze funnel and cohort data, and work with data science to measure outcomes—tracking task completion, abandonment, first follows, contributions, and retention. You'll also design for both first-time and repeated use, balancing discoverability with lightweight sharing during active trading, and shepherd the experience through launch by choosing focused scope, resolving trade-offs, and using post-launch evidence to iterate.
The role sits at the intersection of product management, UX design, and behavioral science. You'll work closely with designers and engineers, but you own the product decisions: which customer problem to solve, what to ship first, and how to measure success.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Portfolio demonstrating shipped consumer social experiences (feeds, profiles, sharing, messaging, discovery, communities) and measurable post-launch impact
- Strong interaction design craft: ability to explain flow structure, user attention, comprehension, and step elimination
- Ability to build realistic interactive prototypes using Figma, code, AI tools, or combinations thereof, including transitions, empty states, and failure states
- Evidence of user research challenging assumptions and changing design decisions
- Ability to own product outcomes: prioritize problems, define success metrics, interpret funnel/cohort data, and evaluate experiment results
- Understanding of social finance context: how credibility, incentives, reputation, and visibility of financial activity affect trust and sharing behavior
