Okta is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own product strategy and execution for the authentication policy roadmap. The Policies team is foundational to Okta's platform, serving as the decision layer that evaluates risk and context to determine when and how users, machines, and agentic identities are allowed to authenticate. This includes managing Application Sign-On Policy, Global Session Policy, Okta Account Management Policy (OAMP), Device Signal Collection Policy, and the underlying Policy Framework, Policy API, and Auth Pipeline. In this role, you will own roadmap prioritization balancing customer requests, platform needs, and strategic differentiation. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, design, and cross-functional stakeholders to define and ship policies with best-in-class user experience while meeting security requirements. Key responsibilities include driving product direction for the Policy Framework and Auth Pipeline, defining operational management strategies for policy changes (versioning, staged rollout, auditability, rollback), and working directly with customers, Solutions Engineering, and Support to translate policy needs into product requirements. You'll serve as the subject matter expert for Policies, representing the team in customer escalations, executive briefings, and enterprise prospect evaluations. You'll track industry trends in adaptive authentication, risk-based access, and session security to develop differentiated solutions. The role requires leveraging AI tools to accelerate spec writing, competitive analysis, and rapid prototyping. Required qualifications include 6+ years of product management experience, background in identity, security, enterprise-scale, platform, or developer products, and ability to conduct in-depth technical discussions with engineering teams. You should excel at connecting platform-level decisions to broader business outcomes, empathizing with customer problems, and communicating effectively across spec-level detail and executive narratives. An entrepreneurial ownership mindset and collaborative approach are essential. Nice-to-have experience includes policy engines, rules-based decisioning systems, risk-scoring products, change management tooling, feature flagging, safe-rollout systems at scale, and non-human/agentic identity use cases.
