Satispay is a fintech platform serving 6.5M+ users, offering payments, benefits, investing, and cards. The company is building what it describes as the most loved financial platform in the world by solving real user problems with a focus on outcomes over tasks.
As Senior Product Manager for Payments, you will own the Consumer Payments portfolio within the Features & Payment domain, including debit cards, SEPA Credit Transfers, QR payments, and related products. Your responsibilities span:
**Discovery & Strategy**: Combine direct user research, product data, market signals, and regulatory insight to validate problems before and during delivery. Drive 0→1 product leadership for new payment products and features from concept through launch.
**Scaling & Optimization**: Take live products beyond launch by growing adoption and activation, expanding coverage and use cases, and hardening reliability as volumes increase. Treat adoption, reliability, support demand, and realized value as product outcomes, not just launch metrics. Analyze usage and performance data to optimize features and uncover market opportunities.
**Consumer Experience & Product Definition**: Own the UX and customer-facing side of payments, ensuring complex financial mechanics are intuitive and transparent. Write clear Product Requirements Documents that carry the user perspective into every decision.
**Cross-Functional Leadership**: Act as strategic orchestrator across Customer Care, Finance, Compliance, Marketing, Legal, and FinCrime/Fraud teams. Design experiences that meet regulatory requirements (PSD2, SCA, AML) rather than working around them. Treat Compliance, Legal, and Fraud as partners.
**External Partnerships**: Work with scheme and delivery managers on relationships with card schemes, issuing processors, and payment providers. Shape roadmaps, hold partners accountable, and translate their capabilities into user value.
**Mentorship & Process**: Advocate for thorough documentation and efficient workflows to help the team anticipate obstacles and ensure smooth delivery.
The role requires someone who can hold both the consumer experience and the technical rails of payments. You'll work in a fast-moving environment with a hybrid setup: three days per week in-office (Tuesday, Thursday, plus one day of your choice), with flexibility to request additional remote time.
**Requirements**:
- 5+ years as a Product Manager, including at least 3 years in payments, banking, or fintech
- Proven track record shipping products from scratch and scaling live products through their scaling phase
- Deep experience with at least one payment rail (card issuing, SEPA transfers, or account-to-account) and familiarity with mechanics: authorization and settlement, scheme flows, chargebacks and disputes
- Strong grasp of payment economics: interchange and scheme fees, provider costs, fraud losses; ability to build business cases and read performance data independently
- Comfort designing great experiences within regulated environments (PSD2, SCA, AML); ability to collaborate with Compliance, Legal, and Fraud as partners
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams (Engineering, UX, BI, Finance, Compliance)
- Professional fluency in English (Italian not required)
