Envato is a global platform empowering creative professionals with assets, tools, and AI-powered capabilities. The company was acquired by Shutterstock in 2024 and continues to evolve its product offering for millions of creatives worldwide.
You will own a defined product area within Envato's generative AI strategy, taking initiatives from discovery through launch and iteration. Your responsibilities include:
• Conducting customer research and product discovery to identify where generative AI can meaningfully improve creative workflows
• Using customer research, product data, experimentation, and hands-on GenAI exploration to inform product decisions about what to build, test, improve, or stop
• Experimenting with emerging AI models, prototyping ideas, and building practical understanding of model capabilities and limitations
• Collaborating closely with Design and Engineering teams to translate ideas into high-quality experiences, balancing creative quality and UX with model performance, reliability, scalability, and cost
• Defining success metrics, analyzing customer usage patterns, and iterating based on evidence
• Working autonomously within a broader GenAI strategy while navigating ambiguity and making trade-offs
You'll be working at the intersection of creative professionals, generative AI technology, and a product used at scale globally. The focus is on building AI capabilities that genuinely solve real problems for professional creatives—not adding AI for its own sake.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Proven experience as a Product Manager owning complex, customer-facing product initiatives from discovery through launch and iteration, ideally in SaaS, technology, or AI
• Strong practical fluency in generative AI and generative media; comfortable understanding models, APIs, and emerging capabilities
• Hands-on ability to use AI tools to prototype, explore, and test ideas
• Deep interest in and understanding of creative professionals and how creative work actually happens (experience with creative products or tools is particularly valuable)
• Ability to distinguish between impressive AI demos and outputs that are genuinely useful in professional creative workflows
• Strong communication skills, ability to build alignment across teams, and comfort working autonomously
• Capacity to synthesize customer, technical, and commercial information into clear priorities and product decisions
