Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The Mission Command team, part of the Connected Warfare Division, builds command and control (C2) tools that help warfighters understand their environment, make faster decisions, and direct forces. These tools are powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that integrates thousands of data streams into a real-time, 3D command and control center. As a Forward Deployed Product Manager, you own the complete path from identifying a warfighter problem to fielding a solution. This role is fundamentally about embedding with military units, understanding how they actually fight, and earning their trust to drive product decisions. You serve as a translation layer between warfighters and engineering teams, spending significant time in the field during exercises and operations. Key responsibilities include: owning warfighter outcomes rather than individual features; embedding with units to learn missions and identify critical problems; building genuine relationships with warfighters, commanders, and subject matter experts; conducting field research through observation and participation in real workflows; mapping users, decisions, workflows, systems, data, and dependencies to drive what gets built; designing across the entire stack (applications, data models, integrations, workflows); leveraging data models as a product tool; designing for tactical edge conditions including degraded networks, bandwidth constraints, and latency; pulling together warfighters, engineers, designers, and other teams around shared problems; making ambiguous problems workable through strategy, workflow sketching, and data flow analysis; leading workshops and design sessions; communicating clearly to operators, large groups, and senior leadership; prototyping ideas quickly with users before committing engineering resources; staying engaged through fielding to validate solutions under real conditions; and identifying patterns that can become reusable across units and programs. You will work in an environment that values bias for action, outcome orientation, customer focus, diving deep into details, ownership, agility, and first-principles thinking. The role requires 50% travel to field and training environments. REQUIREMENTS: - Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance - 4 to 8 years in product management, product scope definition, service design, or equivalent record of turning hard user problems into fielded solutions - Track record of translating technical and domain-specific information into narratives, CONOPS, mission threads, and feature definitions - Experience conducting research and synthesis with users and SMEs, and building roadmaps from findings - History of earning trust with non-technical, operational users and partnering with them beyond just collecting requirements - Ability to balance needs across engineering, data, and business stakeholders - Comfort working with people across wide ranges of technical backgrounds and willingness to learn technical systems well enough to inform product decisions - Strong facilitation and whiteboarding skills, including leading interactive planning and decomposition sessions - Ability to do own design work in common tools such as Figma - Strong organizational skills and reliability - Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including to field and training environments PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Military experience or direct experience working alongside operational military units, with understanding of how units fight and familiarity with Army staff processes, TTPs, and doctrine - Range of product experience across internal tools, customer-facing applications, and tools for technical users - Working knowledge of data models, system integrations, networking, or distributed and edge systems - Self-starter who does well with ambiguity and loose organizational structure - Experience fielding capabilities and improving them based on real operational feedback
