Cloudflare is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to own the strategic roadmap and execution of its Email Security solution. This role sits within the Zero Trust Security organization and focuses on protecting enterprise communication channels—the most trusted yet most targeted communication medium in organizations.
You will architect and own the Email Security product strategy, ensuring Cloudflare remains the definitive answer to evolving threats like Business Email Compromise (BEC) and advanced phishing. Key responsibilities include:
• Own the strategic roadmap for Email Security, driving differentiation in the market and making difficult investment decisions.
• Shape threat intelligence and detection capabilities by working alongside Threat Intelligence and Detections teams, influencing product direction and owning selected initiatives.
• Support Zero Trust Security integration by architecting seamless integration of Email Security into the broader Cloudflare stack, bridging Gateway, CASB, and DLP into a unified defense layer.
• Build trust with engineering and sales through rigorous documentation of first-hand customer experiences with both internal and external customers.
• Drive new business by building features and competitive differentiators needed to displace legacy incumbents and win Global 2000 CISOs.
• Evangelize the platform by using the product daily and serving as a technical and strategic leader, representing the Email Security vision to internal stakeholders, the sales field, and the broader security community.
You will be autonomous, determined, and pragmatic, with strong conviction, humility, and a decisive bias toward action. The role requires leading the industry's shift away from legacy "boxes" toward an AI-first, cloud-native, and identity-aware security posture.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 7+ years of experience as a product manager with a proven track record of owning and scaling complex enterprise security products in a high-growth environment.
• Customer obsession: comfortable designing for enterprises without compromising experience for individuals and small businesses.
• Exceptional storytelling and writing ability; ability to distill complex ideas into simple ones using context, empathy, transparency, and evidence.
• Demonstrated experience leading with conviction to build products designed to win in highly competitive markets, with focus on feature differentiation and displacement strategy.
• Domain knowledge: comfortable navigating architectural trade-offs with senior engineers regarding mail flow (M365/Google Workspace), cloud infrastructure, and API performance.
• High ownership: comfortable being accountable for the entire product lifecycle, from high-fidelity PRDs to collaborating with cross-functional teams for global launches.
• Data-driven decision-making: ability to leverage complex datasets to build intuitive conviction and persuade others.
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
• Early adopter of agentic coding tools; ability to use them effectively to navigate codebases, dependency mapping, or prototype experiences.
• Deep understanding of Zero Trust security and the value of unified platform approaches (Identity, Device, and Data security).
• Familiarity with mechanics of modern email threats and how machine learning is used for detection.
• Good design sense and comfort collaborating with design engineers to translate requirements into lo-fi prototypes.
