Veriff is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the technical roadmap for Physical Document IDV, the company's flagship machine learning-powered identity verification product used by millions across fintechs, marketplaces, mobility platforms, and government agencies.
You will sit between two demanding groups: ML engineers building classification and fraud-detection models, and enterprise customers asking hard questions about accuracy, latency, and edge-case failure modes. Your core responsibility is translating complex technical trade-offs into business outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the technical roadmap for document IDV across accuracy, coverage, fraud detection, and conversion metrics
- Partnering with data scientists and ML engineers on model and system trade-offs, framing problems and defining success metrics
- Trading off accuracy, conversion, latency, and cost against live enterprise contracts
- Serving as the technical voice in complex customer calls, running deep-dives on accuracy questions and knowing when to say "we can't do it yet"
- Partnering with operations on human-in-the-loop workflows and annotation teams on training/evaluation data
- Collaborating across product marketing, legal, privacy, analytics, and go-to-market teams to launch and scale initiatives
Required qualifications:
- 4+ years of end-to-end B2B/B2B2C product management, ideally in identity, computer vision, fraud, or high-throughput ML systems
- ML fluency: you don't build models, but speak fluent precision/recall, understand loss functions, and know how thresholds impact conversion
- Technical independence: ability to write queries, debug data pipelines, and conduct root-cause analysis without waiting for an analyst
- Customer credibility: comfort having tough, highly technical conversations with enterprise clients during system failures or trade-off discussions
- Experience thriving in scale-up environments with high ambiguity and fast pace
- Fluent English (written and verbal)
Bonus qualifications:
- Experience in identity verification, document security, computer vision, or fraud
- Familiarity with regulated industries (finance, mobility, government tech)
- Previous software engineering or data science experience
- Degree in a quantitative field
